Why California Collegiate?
Safe, Supportive Environment
Students at California Collegiate are greeted by name every morning before heading to their daily advisory. At the end of the day, students meet again in their advisory for help with their homework. Our school is strict but warm, and bullying is never be tolerated. Character education is part of our curriculum, and students lead and participate in a weekly community meeting to address any issues.
High Quality Education
At California Collegiate, every student is prepared for success in college. We hire only the best teachers, and provide them with additional pay, training and support. Our extended 8 1/2 hour day allows students to receive 2+ hours of literacy instruction daily in grades 6-8 and to take a wide variety of classes.
Parents as Partners
After enrolling, every California Collegiate family receives a home visit from school leadership to help us get to know your child and your family. Families receive daily homework and behavior reports, along with progress reports and regular calls home. Parents will be invited to attend monthly Cafecitos and to join the Parent and Family Association and School Site Council.
